One of my favorite things about Moldova is all the amazing fresh fruits and vegetables. Right now it’s raspberry season. When I got home yesterday, my host mama was preparing some sort of raspberry preserves. It looked, smelled, and tasted AMAZING! Hopefully there will be some time that I can help in the garden this weekend, perhaps after language classes on Saturday? We shall see!Β

Here are some more of my favorite moments so far during my time in Moldova. Enjoy!

Although these things are not photo documented (yet) some more of my favorites moments from this past week include…
- Dancing in the kitchen and learning the hora with my host mama and sister
- Watching movies with my host sister (Madagascar 3 and Hotel Transylvania in case you’re wondering – each had a European theme too!)
- Being able to order a coffee (sort of) at a local magazine (store)
More favorites to come later… until next time – la revedere!

Those raspberries look delicious! I’m jealous… my host mom sticks to rice and potatoes. Great blog and good luck in Moldova.

Thanks! You’re serving in Peru? Did we start PCT about the same time (a little over 2 weeks in)…

Sweet! Yep, we left June 2. I’ll try to follow your journey as well – some of us were just talking today about how interesting it is to learn what other PCVs are doing in other places (even within our own country) and how different and similar some things are. Wish you all the best!

Haha! Will do my best – I am grateful for all the walking. π I’ve never seen the purple flower puff – it’s quite unique. I’ve only seen a couple… I think it may eventually turn into like a dandylion fluff after it’s purple…maybe?

The purple fluff flower reminds me of the flower in the Dr. Suess classic “Horton Hears a Who!” Thanks for sharing all the sights, sounds, smells, and tastes of your new life in Moldova! π
