Counting joy in celebrations

Today was full of lots of celebrating! As I’ve been going through this months challenge (day 2) of counting joy, I found today to be quite full of joy. We celebrated the anticipation of an early spring thanks to Punxsutawney Phil’s annual groundhog day tradition which also happens to be the same day as two of my friends’ birthdays.

Today also happens to be crepe day in France, so we decided to start the day full of celebrating with crepes! So fun, I think crepes may be high on my list of favorite foods.

Next, we made some melted snowmen cookies in anticipation of an early spring! These were easy and fun to make!

Later in the evening we celebrated our dear friends with sweets, snacks, fun, and friends.

I made this fun centerpiece out of ice using food coloring and water balloons and froze them overnight. I added glow sticks to make it glow a bit (if I were to do it again I would probably get a different color and maybe a larger one).

We had fun with this photo shadow booth later in the evening making fun shapes and scenes.
